The Jesse Owens story, RACE, opens while LADY IN THE VAN, DEADPOOL continue…and the last week for FINEST HOURS and BROOKLYN.

Race is based on the incredible true story of Jesse Owens, the legendary athletic superstar whose quest to become the greatest track and field athlete in history thrusts him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics, where he faces off against Adolf Hitler's vision of Aryan supremacy. Race is an enthralling film about courage, determination, tolerance, and friendship, and an inspiring drama about one man's fight to become an Olympic legend.

Maggie Smith, one the Britian’s  finest actresses, has become a household name due to her role in DOWNTON ABBEY, yet she has for years been recognized as a super talent and LADY IN THE VAN is no exception This film tells the true story of the relationship between Alan Bennett and the singular Miss Shepherd, a woman of uncertain origins who 'temporarily' parked her van in Bennett's London driveway and proceeded to live there for 15 years. This film is great due to Maggie Smith’s poignant often hilarious role.

And now for a few words on DEADPOOL, the exceptional Marvel super hero story from the X-MEN series. First of all the film has set all kinds of box office records with over $140 M in four days of the first week. Second, the film deserved it as it is original, fresh, well-done, hilarious, raunchy at times and just one heck of a good time at the movies. Ryan Reynolds helps make the DEADPOOL character.
