Alternative content via satellite and or hard drive gives us the opportunity to bring to our audience events like THE BOSHOI BALLET live from Moscow, the NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE from London and other events. Consult this website for our line up of events and join us for the event of your choice.  We will feature an ENCORE SCREENING of the NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE presentation of HAMLET with Benedict Cumberbatch on Valentines Day Feb 14 at 12 noon. So come on down and enjoy HAMLET with Benedict Cumberbatch this VALENTINES DAY.

This week we shall feature our first family film with KUNG FU PANDA 3, the last picture in this family fun franchise featuring such actors as Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman and Angelie Jolie. The Kung Fu Panda franchise gets great commentary with 89% fresh reviews and a 97% want see on Rotten Tomatoes. Daniel Eagan of the FILM JOURNAL INTERNATIONAL writes “Tightly written and marvelously imaginative, [Kung Fu Panda 3] is also one of the loveliest animated features to be released recently.” The film is slated for a three-week engagement.

Coming this February 5 we shall feature LADY IN THE VAN, based on true events. The magnificent Maggie Smith (“Downton Abbey,” The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, the Harry Potter series) shines in the hilarious and touching story of Miss Shepherd, a homeless woman of uncertain origins who “temporarily” parks her van in the driveway of playwright Alan Bennett (Alex Jennings) in North London—and ends up staying for 15 years. Arrayed in a mismatched panoply of rags, Miss Shepherd is hygienically challenged, violently allergic to classical music, maddeningly stubborn and guided by messages direct from the Virgin Mary. What begins as a begrudged favor by Bennett grows into a relationship that will change both their lives. This “mostly true” story, based on the memoir and play by Bennett (The History Boys, The Madness of King George, Prick Up Your Ears), was filmed on the actual street and in the house where it happened; it is directed by Nicholas Hytner, working with Bennett for the third time. With a supporting cast of Jim Broadbent, James Corden, Frances de la Tour, Roger Allam and Dominic Cooper.
